How to Clean Up Voice Memo Audio on iPhone and Mac
Apple's Voice Memos app has a one-tap Enhance Recording button that reduces background noise and room echo.
Enhance a recording in Voice Memos
- Open the recording and tap the three dots, then Edit Recording.
- Tap the magic wand (Enhance Recording) icon.
- Play it back and tap Done.
- On Mac, select the recording, click Edit and use the same magic wand icon.
Tips
- Share the memo as a file (Save to Files) before editing if you want to keep the original.
- Recording closer to the phone helps more than any filter.
