How to Remove Background Noise from an iPhone Video
Newer iPhones can adjust the sound of a video after recording. Older models have no built-in way to do it.
Using Audio Mix in Photos
- On iPhone 16 or later, open the video in Photos and tap Edit.
- Tap the Audio Mix button.
- Try In-Frame or Studio to focus on the person speaking, and adjust the intensity slider.
- Tap Done. You can always go back to the original.
Tips
- Audio Mix needs videos recorded on a model that supports it.
- AirDrop the video to a computer if you want to edit it further.
Still hearing noise?
On older iPhones, or when Audio Mix is not enough, upload the MOV or MP4 to Denoiso from Safari. The picture stays the same; only the audio is cleaned.
