How to Remove Background Noise from a Zoom Recording
Zoom's background noise suppression works live. Once the meeting is recorded, Zoom has no option to clean it afterwards.
Before the next call
- Open Zoom Settings > Audio.
- Set Background noise suppression to Auto, or High for loud places like cafés.
- Make sure Original sound for musicians is off, since it disables suppression.
Tips
- For an existing recording, use the M4A audio file if you only need sound; it uploads faster than the MP4.
- Cloud recordings can be downloaded from the Zoom web portal under Recordings.
